Barbara Giacomelli

Barbara Giacomelli serves as the Executive Director of the New Jersey Society of Health System Pharmacy (NJSHP) since September 2022, focusing on advancing pharmacy practice, professional development, and networking within health systems. Prior to this role, Barbara held various leadership positions at McKesson from November 2010 to May 2023, including VP Advisory, where responsibility included leading a team of pharmacy consultants to optimize supply chains and enhance pharmacy revenue. Barbara's educational background includes a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from the University of Colorado Denver, a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Pharmacy from the University of Connecticut, and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Health Care Administration from Widener University.
