Stefan Thust

Stefan Thust has extensive work experience in various roles within the biotechnology industry. Stefan is currently working as a Senior Project Manager in Tech Ops at Nkarta, Inc. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Manager at Bayer, where they worked from July 2020 to September 2021. Before their managerial role at Bayer, Stefan served as a Process Development Scientist from May 2016 to July 2020. Stefan also worked as a Fermentation Engineer at Direvo Industrial Biotechnology GmbH from June 2014 to December 2015. Stefan gained valuable experience as a Fermentation Engineer in research and development at BioCee, Inc. from 2008 to 2013. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Research Specialist at the University of Minnesota from 2006 to 2008 and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the M.C. Flickinger Laboratory, also at the University of Minnesota, from 2004 to 2005.

Stefan Thust completed their education at the Berlin University of Applied Sciences Berlin (BHT) from 2001 to 2006. Stefan obtained a Diplom Ingenieur degree in Biotechnology, equivalent to a Master of Science (M.S.) degree. Additionally, Stefan obtained a certification in Biotechnology from the same institution in February 2006. Recently, in December 2020, they earned the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
