Karen Scammell

Karen Scammell has over 30 years of work experience, with their most recent position being Vice President of Sales at NKT Photonics, where they are responsible for leading the sales department and promoting high-performance fiber lasers and other related products. Before joining NKT Photonics, Karen served as the VP Sales at Energetiq Technology, Inc., where they played a key role in developing and manufacturing advanced light sources. Prior to that, they worked as the VP Sales & Customer Service at Resonetics, providing laser micromachining solutions for the life sciences market. Karen also held the position of VP Sales at A. Schulman Custom Compounding NE (Lyondell Basel), a leading plastics compounder, and served as the Global Sales Director at Axsun Technologies, where they drove sales growth and developed applications in various fields such as telecommunications and medical imaging devices. Additionally, they have experience as a Director of Sales at ACX (currently Cymer Inc), a Key Account Manager at Lasertron (currently Avanex), and an Industry Manager at DSM Engineering Plastics. Karen began their career as a Process Engineer at Chomerics.

Karen Scammell completed their Bachelor of Science in Plastics Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in the period from 1981 to 1985. Karen then pursued their MBA in High Technology Firms from the D'Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University from 1987 to 1989.
