Martin Strandgaard

Martin Strandgaard is currently the Director for Public Co-Finance at NKT, specializing in public co-financing, public affairs, trade policy, and geopolitical analysis within the European Union. Previously, they served as the Deputy Head of Mission and Ambassador at the Royal Danish Embassy in India, enhancing Indo-Danish relations, particularly in green transition and climate affairs. Their extensive experience includes roles as an EU Counselor in Germany and various positions within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, where they focused on trade policy, climate, and economic governance. Martin also holds a double military background as a First Lieutenant in the Danish army, having participated in NATO missions and peace-building efforts in post-war Southeastern Europe. They earned a Master of Science in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Copenhagen.
