Michael C. Hjorth

Michael C. Hjorth has over 30 years of experience in the energy and cable industries. Currently serving as the EVP and Chief Commercial Officer at NKT since September 2017, Michael oversees global front-end commercial activities for NKT HV Solutions, which includes advanced cable manufacturing in Germany and Sweden as well as offshore submarine cable installation through the NKT "Victoria" project. Previously, Michael held positions such as Head of Front End Sales and President at National Oilwell Varco. Earlier in Michael's career, leadership roles included CEO of NKT Flexibles I/S, transforming it into a major provider of flexible pipe systems, and Technical Sales Manager at Maersk Contractors, promoting offshore drilling solutions. Michael's educational background includes studies at the Technical University of Denmark and AP Moller, supplemented by foundational education at Varde Gymnasium.
