Matthew Bowers

Matthew Bowers, P.Eng, is a skilled project manager with extensive experience in civil engineering and public works. Currently serving as Project Manager at NL Health Services since April 2022, Bowers oversees projects aimed at improving health services for a population of 93,000 in Newfoundland and Labrador. Previously, as Director of Public Works for the Town of Springdale from January 2017 to April 2022, Bowers directed initiatives in a transitioning community. Demonstrated expertise includes roles at Astaldi Canada Inc. where Bowers coordinated quality and contractual elements for significant hydro generation projects, and varied engineering internships with Nalcor Energy and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, focusing on project engineering, field inspections, and design. Bowers holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Memorial University.
