Jesse Clarke

Jesse Clarke, PhD, is a highly experienced scientist currently serving as a Staff Scientist at NLC Energy since January 2024. Prior to this role, Jesse held various positions at Cepheid, including Staff Scientist and Senior Scientist in Innovations, from August 2021 to February 2024. Jesse also worked at Visby Medical as an Assay Scientist and Ontera as a Scientific Manager and Scientist. Academic background includes a Ph.D. in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, complemented by research at UC Santa Cruz focusing on the cell cycle and genetic epistasis. Jesse's early experience includes roles at Santa Cruz Mountain Brewing as a Microbiologist and as a Research Technician at the University of Colorado Boulder. Jesse is currently enhancing professional capabilities through a Biotechnology Project Management certificate program at the University of Washington. Educational qualifications also include a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry from the University of Colorado Boulder.
