Saskia van Roode

Saskia Van Roode has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Saskia currently holds the position of Managing Director at nlgroeit, a role they started in April 2022. Prior to this, they were also the Managing Director at Bureau Communicatie Op Maat (i.o.) since April 2018. In 2017, they founded and invested in a real estate/hospitality concept called Nortich - Our House Behind the Dunes, taking a sabbatical period to spend more time with their family. From 2019 to 2022, Saskia served as the CEO of Hoodhunt, an innovative startup in the housing market. Saskia was also an Advisor for fundsUP and Capital On Stage at Capital On Stage from 2015 to 2017. Before that, they held various roles at Management Events, including Director of Pan European Events and Partner from November 2013 to April 2015, and Country Manager from August 2005 to November 2013. Saskia also owned and operated Bureau Communicatie Op Maat (i.o.) from May 2002 to August 2005. Saskia'searliest work experience was as the General Manager at IIR Netherlands (Institute for International Research) from February 2000 to April 2002, where they were responsible for various managerial responsibilities including coaching, mentoring, marketing, budgeting, and relationship management.

Saskia Van Roode earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Cultural Anthropology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) between 1993 and 1996. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in International Business from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences from 1989 to 1993. In 1991 and 1992, they attended the University of Brighton and studied Business Studies to pursue a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree. Saskia completed their secondary education at Herman Wesselink College from 1983 to 1989 and received their primary education at Wilhelminaschool from 1978 to 1983.
