Josh Backman

Josh Backman, CSWA, is a Principal Mechanical Designer at nLIGHT since February 2004, where responsibilities include managing Tooling Request SharePoint and designing production laser product test and beam quality test stations. Previously, as a Senior Mechanical Designer, Josh contributed to the product-level design of Galvo-based laser modules and the assembly of opto-mechanical laser alignment and test stations. Prior experience includes working as an Assembler 3 at Flextronics Photonics from November 2000 to April 2003, focusing on operating and training for opto-mechanical laser alignment and test stations, as well as performing mil-spec lead wire soldering.
