Tyson Lowder began their work experience in 2004 as a research assistant in Brigham Young University's EE optics lab. Tyson continued in this role until 2008. In 2008, Tyson joined nLIGHT as an Electro-Optics Engineer and worked in this role until 2011 when they became a Product Engineering Manager. Tyson held this position until 2021 when they were promoted to Distinguished Laser Engineer. Most recently, Tyson has been serving as the Director of Laser Engineering at nLIGHT starting from January 2023.
Tyson Lowder completed their education in the field of Electrical Engineering. Tyson obtained their Bachelor's Degree from Brigham Young University, where they studied from 1998 to 2004. Later, they pursued a higher degree, completing their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering at the same university from 2004 to 2008.
