Jogien Bakker, PhD, is an experienced educator and consultant specializing in peace building, conflict sensitivity, and language instruction. Currently serving as a Docent Nederlands als Tweede taal at NLtraining, Jogien focuses on teaching Dutch to migrants. Previous roles include extensive consulting work at Nedworc STIP Bunnik and various peace building evaluations with organizations such as Mercy Corps and Edburgh Consultants in conflict-affected regions like Mali and East Congo. With a strong academic background, including a PhD from the Free University of Amsterdam, Jogien has contributed to numerous research projects regarding human rights, community security, and conflict analysis, particularly in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Sudan.
