Dekeitra Griffin

DeKeitra Griffin, LCSW, LCDC, possesses extensive experience in behavioral health and counseling, currently serving as a Licensed Counselor at Recovery Communities since March 2021. Griffin is also a fellow at NMAC, focusing on biomedical prevention for gay men of color. Previous roles include providing mental health assessments as a Backup Intake Assessor at Behavioral Health Connections and conducting therapy for youth as a Juvenile Clinician with Dallas County. Experience spans various settings, including school-based mental health services with the Dallas Independent School District and leadership development for Black gay and bisexual men through NAESM INC. Educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Social Work from Louisiana State University, alongside multiple degrees from The University of Texas at Arlington, encompassing a Master of Public Administration and a Master of Social Work with a focus on mental health and substance abuse.
