Amitava Mukherjee

Shri Amitava Mukherjee is the Director (Finance) at NMDC. An officer from the 1995 batch of Indian Railway Accounts Services (IRAS), he is a Cost Accountant and also holds a Master of Commerce degree from Guru Ghasi Das University, Bilaspur. During his service in IRAS, he was the head of the Standing Core Committee on Service Tax and held key positions in the Traffic Accounts Office and the IT Department of Eastern Railways. He received a National Award for his outstanding services to Indian Railways in 2006. He held the post of General Manager (Finance) in Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) prior to assuming charge as the Director (Finance) at NMDC. Shri Mukherjee is playing a visionary role in the digitalization of processes at NMDC and spearheads capital intensive projects.
