Bas van Baalen

Bas van Baalen is an experienced Kubernetes Cloud Platform Engineer at NN Group since December 2017, where responsibilities include building and managing a container platform that oversees over 30 Kubernetes clusters for critical workloads through Infrastructure as Code. Prior roles include Full Stack Engineer at NN Group, where Bas contributed to an in-house security and compliance application, and Software Developer at Youwe - We Donut, focusing on a dynamic omnichannel Point of Sale system. Additional experience includes co-owning Devwire, a partnership involved in various projects, as well as full stack development at Gigstarter, where a Ruby on Rails website was rebuilt. Bas's early career included an internship at Brightin, working on Ruby on Rails websites. Education was completed at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences from 2010 to 2015.
