Willem de Korte

Willem de Korte has an extensive work experience spanning over several years and with various companies. Willem currently holds the position of Head of Banking, Non-life insurance & Distribution Audit at NN Group, where they are responsible for audit services and management of the Corporate Audit Services (CAS) function. Prior to joining NN Group, they served as the Head of Non-life Audit at NN, where they had similar responsibilities within the CAS. Before NN, they worked at Delta Lloyd as the Manager of Group Audit, overseeing the audit team and managing the audit activities across different divisions of the company. Willem also briefly served as the Director of Information Management at Delta Lloyd. Earlier in their career, Willem de Korte worked as the Director of Finance & ICT at Erasmus Verzekeringen, and as a Senior IT Audit Manager at KPMG Nederland. Willem started their professional journey as a Supervisor of Financial Audit at KPMG Accountants and began their career as an Audit Assistant at Ernst & Young Accountants.

Willem de Korte has a diverse educational background. Willem obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Economics from Hogeschool voor Economische Studies Rotterdam (HES) in 1989. Willem then pursued further education at Erasmus University Rotterdam, where they completed a degree in Financial Audit (RA) from 1991 to 1994. Willem also attended NIVRA - NBA from 1989 to 1991, specializing in Financial Audit. Additionally, they earned a degree in IT Audit (RE) from Erasmus University Rotterdam from 1995 to 1997. Willem expanded their knowledge by participating in the Cedep (INSEAD, Fontainebleau) General Management Program in 2011 and 2012. Willem also completed the Bedrijfsgeïntegreerd Senior Leiderschap Programma at Stichting Bedrijfskunde from 2009 to 2010. Furthermore, they have additional certifications including CISA from ISACA, and RA and RE from professional organizations in the field of auditing.
