Wout van der Weg

Wout van der Weg has extensive work experience in the legal field. Wout currently holds the position of Head Legal Corporate Transaction Team and Managing Director at NN Group since September 2022. Prior to this, they served as Head Corporate Legal NN Group and Managing Director at Nationale-Nederlanden from October 2015 to September 2022.

Before joining NN Group, Wout van der Weg worked at RBS as Head Legal The Netherlands and General Counsel RBS NV from February 2010 to December 2016. Wout also briefly held the position of Head Legal The Netherlands a.i. and Director from July 2009 to January 2010 at RBS.

Earlier in their career, Wout van der Weg worked as Senior Legal Counsel Global Markets at ABN AMRO Bank NV from February 2007 to December 2009, and as a Senior Associate at Simmons & Simmons from August 2001 to January 2007.

Wout van der Weg received their Law degree in Corporate Law and Securities Law from the University of Groningen between 1995 and 2001.
