Jürgen Schmidhuber

Jürgen Schmidhuber has an extensive work experience in the field of Artificial Intelligence. Jürgen currently serves as the Director of the AI Initiative at KAUST (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology) since October 2021. Prior to that, they were a Co-Founder and Chief Scientist (former President) at NNAISENSE, a company focused on AI technology. Jürgen has also held the position of Scientific Director at IDSIA since 1995. In addition, they have worked as a Professor of Artificial Intelligence at USI Università della Svizzera italiana since 2009 and as a Professor at SUPSI since 2003 until 2021. Jürgen also held the position of Professor Extraordinarius at TU München from 2004 to 2009. Jürgen Schmidhuber began their career as a PostDoc at the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1991.
