IoT development Engineer at Nobi Smart Lamps

Ahmed Abu Zaid has a diverse work experience in the field of IoT development and engineering. Ahmed is currently working as an IoT Development Engineer at Nobi Smart Lamps since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at AirSensa as an Internet of Things Engineer from June 2020 to January 2022, where they were responsible for developing prototypes and working on embedded systems and LPWAN networks.

Ahmed also has experience as an IoT developer and Co-Founder at SmartTech from November 2018 to August 2019, where they were involved in various tasks related to IoT development for a startup focusing on agricultural applications.

Before that, they worked as a Communications Engineer at Atheer Almustaqbel from November 2018 to August 2019, where they were responsible for monitoring the network and solving onsite problems in the network infrastructure.

Ahmed also gained experience as a Summer Intern at Smart Buildings Limited in 2017, where they worked on IoT projects related to building automation and sensor integration. Additionally, they had a short work placement at Balfour Beatty Engineering Services in 2016, where they worked on the Electrical & Mechanical tasks of a library refurbishment project and gained insights into project management and commercial aspects.

Overall, Ahmed has a strong background in IoT development, embedded systems, network monitoring, and project management.

Ahmed Abu Zaid obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Electronic and Communications Engineering from the University of Leeds between the years 2015 and 2018. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Zawiat Addahmani - Tripoli from 2008 to 2011, specializing in Engineering Sciences. Most recently, in 2019 and 2020, Ahmed pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Internet of Things at the University of Southampton.
