Katie Curtin has a diverse range of work experience. Katie started their career as a Campaign Intern at Hillary for America in 2008. Katie then worked as a Campaign Organizer at Obama for America in 2012. Later, Katie became a Teacher for America at Olney Charter High School, where they taught English from 2011 to 2014. In 2014, they joined Noble Schools as a Journalism Teacher and eventually took on additional roles, including Electives Department Chair, Assistant Dean of Students, and Director of Academic Support & Family Engagement. Katie also worked as a Summer School Principal at Noble Schools in 2018. In 2015, Katie joined Teach Plus as a Senior Education Policy Fellow. Prior to that, they worked at the Boston University Community Service Center and the Boston University Office of Orientation in various roles focused on community outreach and program coordination. Katie Curtin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and French Language from Boston University, which they completed from 2007 to 2011. Katie then pursued a Master of Science in Education with a concentration in Secondary English Education at the University of Pennsylvania, from 2011 to 2013. In addition, they obtained a DELF certification in French Language from Université Stendhal Grenoble 3 in 2010. Katie also holds an Illinois Professional Educator License, which they obtained from the Illinois State Board of Education in January 2016. Katie is currently in progress of completing the Google Advanced Data Analytics Professional Certificate.
