Monae Thomas has accumulated diverse experience in human resources and educational settings. Since May 2018, Monae has been serving as a Human Resources Intern at the Noble Network of Charter Schools. Previously, during an academic tenure at Denison University from August 2014 to May 2018, Monae held multiple roles, including Coordinator for Sister's in Dialogue, where a social media and print campaign achieved a 25% increase in student participation, and Student Research Assistant/Library Supervisor, focusing on transcribing and analyzing interviews related to abuse experienced by Black women. Monae also completed a Communications/Marketing Internship with Ohio Campus Compact in 2017, developing content to inform various stakeholders and conducting interviews for article and newsletter creation. Additionally, Monae served as a Program Instructor at Youth Guidance during the summer of 2016, teaching reading and math to kindergarten students. Monae holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Denison University.
