Xiaoguang Zhen

Xiaoguang Zhen has been working in the field since 2000 when they began their postdoc at Columbia University. In 2004, they joined Hydra Biosciences as a Scientist, where they were responsible for developing assays and high throughput screening, building Hydra's in-house HTS facility, and providing technical support and training. In 2018, they joined Nocion Therapeutics, Inc. as a Principal Scientist, where they lead Electrophysiology projects related to cough, GI, pain, and dermatology, and is responsible for compound potency, SAR developing, safety, and selectivity. Additionally, they coordinate CRO related projects and manages lab activities and biosafety regulations.

Xiaoguang Zhen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Shanghai Jiao Tong University between 1990 and 1994. Xiaoguang then went on to earn a Master's degree in Biochemical Engineering from the same university between 1994 and 1996. Finally, Xiaoguang Zhen obtained a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Shanghai Biochemistry institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences between 1996 and 2000.
