Kamiel Maase

Kamiel Maase is an accomplished Performance Manager for Research & Development at NOC*NSF, having served since May 2009. Maase's expertise lies in providing evidence-based support for elite athletes throughout their careers. From June 2017 to October 2021, Maase also held the position of Team Leader for TeamNL Experts, overseeing annual planning, budgeting, reporting, and HR policy. Before this role, Maase was responsible for the sport science and innovation program within NOC*NSF. Additionally, Maase is a former professional athlete, achieving the status of three-time Olympian and setting four national records in distance running events. Maase holds a Master's degree in (Bio)chemistry from Leiden University, a Bachelor of Arts in Microbiology from The University of Texas at Austin, and an MScBA in Business Administration from RSM Erasmus University.
