Piotr Swierczynski

Director Of Engineering at NODAR

Piotr Swierczynski has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Piotr started their career as an intern at the Ministry of Finance of Poland in 2011. Then, in 2014, they had a Students' Research and Didactic Internship at the Warsaw Center of Mathematics and Computer Science.

From 2018 to 2020, Piotr worked as a Senior Data Scientist at Teraki GmbH. Following this, they joined NODAR in 2020 as a Senior Computer Vision Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for developing 3D sensing technology for automotive applications using camera arrays. Piotr excelled in creating accurate camera calibration algorithms and benchmarking stereo matching algorithms. Piotr also successfully completed projects with several OEMs and Tier1s. Piotr was a key member of the technical team and played a crucial role in recruiting new team members.

In January 2022, Piotr was promoted to the position of Director of Engineering at NODAR, where they currently work.

Piotr Swierczynski holds a Ph.D. in Computational and Applied Mathematics from the Technical University of Munich (2015-2018). Piotr also has an M.S. in Mathematical Modelling and Scientific Computing from the University of Oxford (2013-2014) and another M.S. in Mathematics from the University of Warsaw (2012-2015). Piotr earned a Bachelor's degree in Double Degree in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Warsaw (2009-2012). Currently, they are pursuing a degree in Management at Harvard University (2021-2023). Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including "Building Real-Time Video AI Applications" and "Fundamentals of Accelerated Computing with CUDA C/C++" from NVIDIA, a "Deep Learning Nanodegree" from Udacity, and "Control of Mobile Robots" from the Georgia Institute of Technology through Coursera.
