Geir Løvik

Geir Løvik has a diverse work experience in the aquaculture industry. Geir is currently the Chief Technology Officer and Founder of NOFITECH since January 2022. Prior to this, they were the Founder/Senior Project Manager at NOFITECH from March 2011 to January 2023. In this role, they specialized in RAS (Recirculating Aquaculture System) and was involved in designing land-based fish farms of industrial scale, delivering turn-key modules, and optimizing fish conditions while saving water.

Before their time at NOFITECH, Geir worked as a Project Engineer at AquaOptima AS from 2001 to 2010. Geir also served as a Site Manager at Midnor Settefisk AS (Former Nye Botn Settefisk) from 1999 to 2000 and at Nye Botn Settefisk AS from 1998 to 1999. Additionally, they were a maintenance team member at Aakvik Settefisk AS from 1995 to 1998 and a trainee/operator of land-based fish farms grow out salmon at Aquatech Systems AS from 1989 to 1990.

Geir Løvik started their career as an Animal Technician at Masterfish AS in 1988 and later worked in the same position at Halsa Fiskeoppdrett AL in 1985-1986.

Geir Løvik attended NKI Kristiansund from 1991 to 1992, where they studied engineering. Following this, they enrolled at Bergen University College from 1993 to 1995, specializing in Aquaculture Technology.
