Jana Sukkarieh, PhD (Cantab) has a long and varied work experience. Jana began their career in 2001 as an Assistant Professor at the American University of Beirut. In 2002, they moved to the University of Oxford where they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher. In 2005, they joined Secerno Ltd as a Senior Analyst, which was later acquired by Oracle. In 2007, they began working as a Research Scientist at Educational Testing Service. In 2013, they became a Consultant at Wakelet, where they worked on educational social media, content curation, storytelling, research, discovery, content display, aggregation, annotation, transforming search, crowd-sourcing, collaboration, mining, and content recommendations. In 2014, they co-founded Counselytics Ltd. where they worked on AI & Law, Text Mining, Knowledge Representation, Contractual Legalese, LegalTech, and Disruptive Innovation. Jana was also instrumental in building the CRE contract product, Lease Intelligence. In 2016, they became an Independent Consultant, consulting in 3 legal/fin tech startups. In 2018, they founded Neurons on hybrid algorithmZ (Noha-Z) where they developed a prototype for TextMogrifier\u00ae and drew the vision and "mission" for Noha-Z. In 2020, they continue to work at Neurons on hybrid algorithmZ (Noha-Z) as the Founder & CTO.

Jana Sukkarieh, PhD (Cantab) holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science, Natural Language and Knowledge Representation from the University of Cambridge, which they received in 2001. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Speech Recognition and Natural Language Processing from the same institution in 1996. Jana also holds a Diploma in Education (Teaching Mathematics) from the American University of Beirut, which they obtained in 1992, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Mathematics from the same institution in 1991.
