Steve Babbage

Dr. Steve Babbage is a Distinguished Engineer and Chief Cryptographer for Vodafone Group, responsible for security in Vodafone Group Research and Development. Dr. Babbage is the chairman of ETSI SAGE (Security Algorithms Group of Experts), the body that designs many cryptographic algorithms for international telecommunications standards, such as those that protect the 3G mobile telephone networks. Dr. Babbage holds an M.A. in Mathematics and Philosophy from Merton College, Oxford and a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Royal Holloway and Bedford New College, London.
