Maximilian Herrmann is a physicist turned optical telecommunications engineer who currently serves as the Director of HW Development at Nokia. With a PhD from Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München, Herrmann completed postdoctoral research at the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics under Nobel Laureate Prof. Ted Hänsch. They have extensive experience in telecoms, managing hardware engineering teams and delivering mission-critical devices generating over half a billion dollars in revenue. Prior to Nokia, Herrmann was a postdoctoral researcher focused on optomechanics and sensing of ultra-weak forces.
