Nomera Capital is an independent investment intelligence firm based in Portugal, focused on analysing investment vehicles, fund structures, and capital allocation decisions.

We work with internationally mobile and retail investors accessing complex investment products — including private equity, venture capital, and regulated collective investment funds — often across jurisdictions. Many of these products were originally designed for institutional allocators with dedicated due diligence teams. Individual investors typically don’t have comparable analytical resources.

Our role is to narrow that gap. We do not provide investment advice, manage client capital, distribute financial products, or act as intermediaries. Instead, we apply structured analytical frameworks to help investors understand how a vehicle is built, how incentives operate within it, what risks are embedded in its structure, and how it may fit within a broader allocation strategy.

Nomera Capital is rooted in Portugal. Our proximity to the local market — fund managers, regulatory practice, and capital flows — provides contextual understanding that is difficult to replicate from abroad. Portugal often functions as an entry point for investors seeking European diversification, with residency-related considerations (such as the Golden Visa) representing a secondary dimension to investment decisions. We operate at that intersection — combining local embeddedness with systematic analysis of capital allocation and risk.

Our research continues to expand into broader questions of capital allocation, risk management, and portfolio construction across asset classes and regions. We view our work as an evolving discipline rather than a fixed product set, with an emphasis on depth and analytical rigor rather than transactional incentives.
