Angie Karna

Angie Karna is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in the financial services sector, currently serving as Managing Director and Head of Global Markets Legal for the Americas at Nomura Securities since September 2009. In this role, Angie oversees legal coverage for Fixed Income and Equities businesses, manages a team of approximately 25 lawyers and documentation experts, and advises senior management on various legal and strategic matters. Previously, Angie held significant positions at Barclays Capital and Lehman Brothers, focusing on Equities Legal. A graduate of the University of Windsor Law School (LL.B) and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law (J.D.), with a B.Sc. from the University of Toronto, Angie is actively involved in several committees, including serving as Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee and the CFTC Global Markets Advisory Committee.
