Sobia Shaikh is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in risk management and corporate financing. Currently serving as Executive Director at Nomura since May 2021, Sobia previously held the role of Vice President in the Risk Solutions Group within Investment Banking. Prior experience includes positions at NatWest Markets from August 2013 to May 2021, where Sobia progressed from Associate to Vice President in the Corporate Financing and Risk Solutions team, focusing on the Infrastructure & Utilities and Real Estate sectors. During this time, responsibilities encompassed derivative counterparty risk management and capital management strategies for financial institutions and corporate clients. Sobia began the professional journey as a Summer Intern in Front Office Capital Management at NatWest Markets in 2012. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), obtained between 2010 and 2013.
