Business Unit Director at Nonius Hospitality Technology

Manuel Lima has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Manuel started their career in 2002 as a Resources Department Controller at Top Atlântico - Espirito Santo Viagens, where they were responsible for the suppliers area and financial reporting.

In 2004, Manuel worked as an International Trade Consultant at ICEX, where they advised Spanish companies in their investment process in Brazil. Manuel conducted market research, sectorial studies, and coordinated Spanish-Brazilian investment forums.

From 2005 to 2009, Manuel served as the Area Manager for Europe and South America at The Candy & Toy Factory. In this role, they were responsible for sales and marketing activities in 15 different markets. Manuel conducted market research, found partners, and opened new countries.

From 2009 to 2011, Manuel worked at TIMwe as the Marketing & Sales Manager for B2C business in Portugal and Spain. Manuel was responsible for negotiation with strategic partners and managing the media budget. Later, they became the Regional Marketing & Sales Manager for Europe, managing more than 30 different markets and coordinating the Marketing & Sales team.

In 2011, Manuel joined LetsBonus as the Sales Director for Portugal, where they defined the commercial strategy and managed the sales team operating in Lisbon and Oporto. Manuel held this position until 2015.

In 2015, Manuel began working at MYGON as the VP of Sales. Manuel played a key role in the growth of MYGON, which became one of the largest local mobile advertising platforms in Portugal. Manuel was responsible for discovering deals, booking offers, and expanding the business to other markets.

Most recently, Manuel has held the position of Business Unit Director at Nonius since 2017. Manuel has been leading Nonius Mobile, a feature-rich platform that enables hoteliers to improve operations efficiency, generate revenue, and deliver a superior mobile digital guest journey. Nonius Mobile is part of Nonius group and the result of the acquisition and merger of GuestU, B-Guest, and Criton.

Manuel Lima completed their Master's degree in Business Management from Nova School of Business and Economics, spanning from 1998 to 2002. Later, in 2004, they pursued another Master's degree in International Business and Foreign Trade from ICEX-CECO.
