Nelson Faria

Nelson Faria has held multiple roles in the software engineering industry since 1999. Nelson began their career as a Software Engineering trainee at ENT-Efacec in 1999. Nelson then held a Software Engineering role at Imediata, SA from 2000-2003, during which time they were responsible for multimedia kiosk development, network management programming, and hardware integration. From 2003-2004, they worked as a Software Engineer at Tracy Technologies. Nelson then held a Software Engineer role at Qimonda from 2004-2008. In 2008, they began working at Ndrive, Navigation Systems, SA as a Software Engineer. Since 2010, they have held various roles at Nonius, including Director of Customer Services, Subsidiary Director - Portugal & new markets, Professional Services Director, and Systems Engineer.

Nelson Faria obtained their Master's Degree in Industrial Electronics from Universidade do Minho in 1999. In 2019, they completed an MBA Executive in Business Administration and Management, General from ISAG - Instituto Superior de Administração e Gestão. Nelson has also obtained certifications from Falck in 2016, which include 0.5c Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System Training, Basic Offshore Safety Introduction & Emergency Training (OPITO) incluiding HUET plus EBS, Basic Offshore Safety Introdutions in Emergency Responste Training (NOPEGA 0.5A), and Compressed Air EBS Initial Deployment Training.
