Zaira Sanchez

Zaira was the first in her family to go to college, graduating from Clackamas Community College where she received an Associate’s degree, and Warner Pacific University where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Development. In college, Zaira was exposed to organizing and leadership by being involved with community-based organizations like Causa Oregon, Unite Oregon, and Latino Network. Six years later, Zaira decided it was time to move back to her hometown to start shaping it into a more welcoming and inclusive community. Zaira brings nearly 10 years of experience in organizing and working directly with underserved communities throughout the Pacific Northwest.
