Erin Keaney, PhD has a wide range of experience in the medical and engineering fields. Erin began their career in 2012 as an Engineering Co-op for Corning Incorporated, followed by an Engineering Intern for Vizio Medical Devices. In 2013, they held a Graduate Research Assistant role at Raytheon and a Design Engineering Intern role at Applied Science Laboratories Eye Tracking. Erin was also a Participant at VentureWell that same year. From 2013 to 2015, they were a Teaching Assistant at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. In 2017, they took on the role of Adjunct Professor, Research Scientist, and Post Doctorial Researcher at the same university. In 2021, they joined Corning Incorporated as Chief Of Staff and Strategy Development Manager. Additionally, they were COO and Co-Founder of Nonspec from 2013 to 2021.
Erin Keaney, PhD, obtained their Diploma from Groton Dunstable Regional High School in 2009. Erin then went on to obtain a Bachelor's in Plastics Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 2013. In 2014, they earned their Master's degree in Plastics Engineering from the same institution. From 2014 to 2017, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Plastics Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. In 2018, they attended INSEAD for the INSEAD ISEP; Social Entrepreneurship 6-Day Executive Programme. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Unconscious Bias from LinkedIn in October 2020.
