Process Engineer at Nooma Bio

Justin Mollison's work experience starts with their most recent position as a Process Engineer at Nooma Bio, starting in October 2021. In this role, they conducted novel epigenetic mapping experiments using a dual nanopore microfluidic chip and was responsible for optimizing control parameters to maximize data output. Justin collected novel epigenetic mapping data of 5mC methylation sites on long E. Coli DNA.

Prior to that, Justin worked as an Engineering Associate at Nooma Bio from January 2021 to October 2021. In this role, they conducted dual nanopore experiments, served as a subject matter expert, and collected epigenetic mapping data.

From May 2018 to March 2020, Justin worked as a Cleanroom Tech Crew member at the Vanderbilt Institute of Nanoscale Science and Engineering.

In 2019, Justin was an Undergraduate Researcher in the Building Diversity in Biomedical Sciences Program. Justin participated in a research program, performed bioinformatic analysis, and characterized a gene involved in host adaptation during natural mucosal human infection.

From April 2018 to April 2019, Justin served as the Public Relations Chair for the Vanderbilt Caribbean Students Association.

From September 2016 to April 2018, Justin was an Undergraduate Researcher at the Duvall Advanced Therapeutics Laboratory.

In 2017, Justin worked as a Development Intern at the Jackie Robinson Foundation. In this role, they managed information in the foundation's database, developed and implemented a Snapchat campaign, presented analysis of Snapchat usage metrics, and filmed and edited interviews for a promotional video.

Justin Mollison completed their secondary education at Brooklyn Technical High School from the year 2012 to 2016. Justin earned an Advanced Regents Diploma with a focus on Biology/Biological Sciences.

In 2015, Justin obtained a certification as an Autodesk Inventor Certified User from Autodesk.

Following their graduation from high school, Justin enrolled at Vanderbilt University in 2016. Justin pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree with a major in Biomedical Engineering and a minor in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. Justin completed their undergraduate studies at Vanderbilt University in 2020.
