Before Noonum, Shankar Vaidyanathan was a successful leader at Microsoft in the cloud, data, and machine learning groups for more than 20 years. He led teams of size up to 150 operating across multiple continents as a Director for Bing Search & Advertising platform. He was a founding leader for a couple of commercially successful v1 products at Microsoft: Internet of Things and Mobile & Video Advertising. He has a balanced approach to execution and innovation, having shipped more than 2 dozen services at Microsoft with 14 patents to his credit. He has a graduate degree in Computer Science with a thesis on model-based machine learning. Shankar launched Noonum after a sabbatical from Microsoft at a Seattle-based asset management firm that allowed him to see first-hand the challenges of Noonum's future customers. His vision for Noonum is to disrupt beyond the finance domain.
