Erik Slooten

Erik Slooten is a highly experienced klinisch fysicus currently working at Noordwest Ziekenhuisgroep since April 2020, with prior experience at Holland Proton Therapy Centre and the Academic Medical Center. Throughout various roles, Erik has contributed to clinical tasks and significant projects, including the evaluation of treatment techniques and the introduction of new technologies in radiotherapy. Erik's academic background includes a postdoctoral fellowship at Antoni van Leeuwenhoek, focusing on treatment planning in radiotherapy, and a research role at NRG, contributing to a textbook on actinide transmutation. Erik completed a PhD at the University of Amsterdam, specializing in X-ray spectroscopy, after earning a master's degree in Physics and Astronomy.
