Rob Johnson

Rob Johnson has a diverse work history in the field of cybersecurity. Rob is currently serving as the Director of Solutions Engineering at NopSec since December 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Sr. Systems Engineer at Code42 starting from May 2022. Rob also held the position of Sr. Security Solutions Architect at Sirius Computer Solutions, Inc. from June 2021.

From September 2017 to April 2021, Rob worked at Rapid7, taking on multiple roles including Sr. Security Solutions Engineer and Sr. Solutions Engineer. Rob briefly served as a Sr. Security Solutions Engineer before transitioning into other roles within the organization.

Before joining Rapid7, Rob worked at NSS Labs as a Sr. Sales Engineer from July 2015 to September 2017. In this role, they were responsible for implementing a training program for the sales team, providing product assistance, and collaborating with the Product and Marketing teams.

Prior to NSS Labs, Rob worked at SolarWinds as a Sr. Product Marketing Manager from July 2011 to April 2015. Their responsibilities included developing content and delivering presentations to potential customers.

Rob's career in the cybersecurity industry began at TriGeo Network Security, where they served as a Sales Engineering Manager from July 2006 to July 2011. Rob managed a team providing pre-sales technical support and conducted product demonstrations and competitive analysis.

Before that, Rob gained experience in management, training, and technical support in government and military contracts at THALES RAYTHEON Systems. Rob held various positions, including Security Operation Center Supervisor, Technical Trainer, and Field Engineer, from August 2001 to August 2006. Rob also completed a 6-month tour in Iraq as a Secure Communications Field Service Engineer and provided communications training nationwide and abroad.

Rob Johnson attended Kaplan University from 2005 to 2006, where they studied Information Technology.
