Holger Ebel

Holger Ebel is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in credit risk control and modeling. Currently serving as Senior Director and Head of the Credit Risk Control Unit at NORD/LB since May 2009, Holger Ebel oversees integrated credit risk management, including environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations. Previous roles at NORD/LB included leadership positions in market and operational risk management, where Holger Ebel contributed to the development of models for credit and investment risk. Prior to NORD/LB, Holger Ebel held key roles at Daimler Financial Services AG and d-fine GmbH, focusing on credit portfolio management and risk consultancy. Holger Ebel holds a PhD in Physics from Kiel University and an MSc in Mathematical Finance from the University of Oxford, complemented by a strong educational background in physics and biophysics.
