Saravanan Manickam

Saravanan Manickam Ph.D. is a seasoned leader in the engineering and wind energy sectors, currently serving as the Country Head, Managing Director, and Vice President for India at Nordex Group since January 2021, overseeing all corporate and customer-facing functions and India P&L. Prior to this role, Saravanan held various key positions at Siemens Gamesa from September 2010 to December 2020, including Head of Engineering for the Wind Business, where responsibilities encompassed managing the complete value chain and implementing new product strategies. Saravanan's earlier experience includes positions at Caterpillar Inc. focused on electrical design, and at Areva, where management of automotive and electronics connectors was crucial. Saravanan holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Saveetha University, along with a Master's in Manufacturing Technology from the National Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bharathidasan University.
