Inga Hanna Gudmundsdottir

Inga Hanna Gudmundsdottir serves as the Head of Department HR & Law at the Nordic Council of Ministers and The Nordic Council since September 2023. Prior to this position, Inga held the role of Head of Human Resources at EFTA from August 2018 to August 2023, overseeing HR functions in Brussels, Geneva, and Luxembourg. Inga's extensive background in human resources includes serving as Human Resources Director at the Directorate of Internal Revenue Iceland from May 2006 to July 2018, where responsibilities included developing HR policies, managing recruitment, and communicating with trade unions. Earlier experience includes a position as HR Manager at the Icelandic Coast Guard from September 2005 to April 2006. Inga earned a Master's degree in Strategy and Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Business from the University of Iceland.
