Marthe Haugland

Marthe Haugland is a Senior Innovation Advisor and Head of Program at Nordic Innovation, focusing on circular business models, circular transition, and green business reporting (ESG) since October 2017. Prior to this role, Marthe co-founded Norwegian Development Group Ltd., where efforts centered on establishing a sustainable marine fish farm in Myanmar until operations were halted due to political and health crises. From February 2005 to December 2016, Marthe held various leadership positions at Innovation Norway, including Special Advisor for European Affairs and Director overseeing Networks, European Affairs, and multiple sectors. Early experience includes serving as an Advisor at the European Commission's delegation from June 1999 to February 2005, where responsibilities included reporting on Norwegian politics and economic affairs. Marthe Haugland holds a Master's degree in International Relations and Affairs from Université libre de Bruxelles and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Bergen, with further studies at BI Norwegian Business School.
