Juan Felipe Beltrán Busch-Knudsen is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Sustainable Energy - Electric Energy Systems at DTU - Technical University of Denmark. Juan Felipe has gained experience in various roles related to energy systems and business development, including their work as a Master Thesis student on Dynamic Load Management and Pricing for Charging Point Operators at DTU. Prior to this, Juan Felipe has been involved in projects such as a feasibility study for Power-to-X on Bornholm and emission-based EV charging. With a background in General Engineering and a keen interest in sustainable energy, Juan Felipe is dedicated to contributing to the energy transition towards a net-zero future.

Friday 1 July 2022 marks the first day of Nordic RCC A/S. The predecessor, Nordic RSC, was established in 2016. The Nordic Regional Coordination Centre (RCC) is owned by the electricity Transmission System Operators (TSOs) in the Nordic region. We support the national TSOs in maintaining the operational security of the power systems across Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark. An RCC does many of the same advanced calculations that happen in the TSO control rooms like capacity calculation and security analysis but on a regional level. The regional analyses ensure increased coordination and effectiveness. Ongoing analysis of data from the four power systems and close coordination of activities improve the security in the operation of the Nordic power systems. Regional generation adequacy information and coordinated capacity calculation as well as outage planning improve the overall efficiency of the systems and thus further conditions in the Nordic power markets.
