Stefan Vilner is an experienced professional with a diverse background in leadership, operations, and human resources across various industries. As Co-Founder of Nordic Salt Cycle, Stefan is focused on transitioning to a mineral economy through innovative mineral recovery processes. Prior to this role, Stefan served as Head of People & Operations at Seaborg Technologies, where responsibilities included managing teams and supporting the development of compact molten salt nuclear reactors. Other notable positions include Partner and COO at Dain Partners, Senior Global HR Business Partner at Vestas, and Chief Executive Officer at Jetbird Europe Ltd. Stefan's educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Applied Psychology from the University of Liverpool, a degree in Existential Psychotherapy, and a Master’s in International Business.

Nordic Salt Cycle recovers critical and strategic minerals with a low-cost, flexible and scalable molten salt process. At Nordic Salt Cycle, we believe that the world needs to move more quickly to a mineral economy – transitioning from fossil fuels to clean energy on an accelerated timeline. For us, this goes hand-in-hand with developing new technologies for cleaner and more efficient recovery of critical and strategic minerals, as well as ensuring security of supply in increasingly challenging times. With our roots and heart in the Nordics, we want to leverage the massive potential of recovery and recycling to limit the need to import minerals to Europe. The need for mining will never completely disappear, but by recovering and reintroducing vital minerals into the value chain, we can contribute to Europe’s energy independence, economic resilience, and environmental sustainability.
