Geir Mortensen

Geir Mortensen is an experienced maritime professional currently serving as Driftsleder at Nordlaks since January 2024. Previously, Geir held the position of Marine Supervisor for FPSO Petrojarl 1 in the Ataltanta field, where responsibilities included yard preparation, sailing operations, and marine system testing. Geir also worked as Marine Supervisor for FPSO Petrojarl Knarr and served as Chief Officer on multiple FPSOs, including Petrojarl 1 and Petrojarl Banf, engaging in various tasks from marine control operations to decommissioning projects. With a career spanning over two decades in offshore operations, Geir has also operated shuttle tankers in the North Sea and has experience with chemical tankers and O/B/O ships through previous roles at V.Ships Norway. Geir holds a Master of Mariner degree from Bodin Videregående, completed in 1999.
