Elisabeth Bäckman

Elisabeth B. is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM), currently serving as the Director of IAM at Hitachi Vantara since September 2020. Elisabeth has defined key IAM team roles, developed a strategic roadmap for a zero trust implementation over five years, and has held various leadership positions within the IAM domain, including Senior Manager and Manager. Prior to Hitachi Vantara, Elisabeth worked as an Information Security Analyst at Western Union, where responsibilities included the design and implementation of a CIAM solution. Elisabeth also has a background in education and consulting, with previous roles at JOANN Stores, the University of Denver, HollywoodDJ, and an internship at Lyrics2Learn. Elisabeth holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Denver, with minors in Music Performance and Mathematics.
