Matthias Meyer has a diverse work experience in the marketing and sales field. Matthias started their career at Bahlsen in 1991, where they worked their way up from a Trainee to a Senior Brand Manager, responsible for multiple product groups and a significant sales turnover. Matthias also worked as a National Key Account Manager, handling regional customer accounts and supervising a team. In 2005, they joined Nordzucker AG as a Marketing & Sales Manager for Stevia products, and later became the Head of Marketing Deutschland. At Nordzucker AG, their responsibilities included customer consulting, marketing, and sales of Stevia products primarily to industrial clients. Matthias Meyer has a proven track record of successfully developing and implementing marketing strategies for various companies.

Matthias Meyer completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree from Buckinghamshire College of Higher Education from 1989 to 1990. Prior to that, they pursued internationales Marketing at Fachhochschule Osnabrück from 1987 to 1991, leading to a Diplomkaufmann (FH) degree.
