Derek Scherer

Derek Scherer is an experienced IT professional with a strong background in corporate IT management. Currently serving as Corporate IT Manager at Noregon Systems since April 2016, Derek oversees IT staff and manages the configuration and maintenance of a load-balanced production web and network environment. Prior to this role, Derek held the position of Corporate IT Manager at Silkroad from January 2010 to April 2016, where responsibilities included administering a complex network core and system infrastructure for over 450 virtual machines and leading an IT team supporting more than 300 internal customers. Earlier experience as Support Manager and Network Engineer at SolidSpace involved configuring and supporting a Datacenter infrastructure, while an initial role in Operations at USAirways laid the foundation for a successful career. Derek holds a BS in Information Systems from Eastern Carolina University and an AA in Network Administration and Support from Forsyth Tech Community College.
