P. E. Eric Shadd

Eric Shadd, P.E., is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in energy analysis and program management. Currently serving as Principal Engineer at NORESCO since July 2020, Eric focuses on researching and analyzing energy savings technologies to influence codes and standards. As the Founder and Principal Investigator at Determinant LLC from September 2014 to July 2020, Eric specialized in energy modeling and life-cycle costing to support policies and programs. Prior roles include managing Residential HVAC incentive programs at Pacific Gas and Electric Company and working as an Energy Analyst at Architectural Energy Corporation. Eric holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from San Francisco State University and has completed ASHRAE certified coursework at the University of California, Berkeley. Additionally, Eric's professional journey includes a sabbatical where studies in Spanish language and culture were pursued alongside investigations into the European energy-efficiency sector.
