Norfolk Primary Care

April 2017 saw the establishment of North Norfolk Primary Care (NNPC) as a GP alliance for North Norfolk. Formed of nineteen practices the goal was to make life in general practice enjoyable again and allow Primary Care to realise its true potential for patients. With an increasing demand across the healthcare landscape it is important to address this and identify opportunities for change within Primary Care. In 2024 NNPC became a Community Interest Company (CIC) and expanded the reach of it's support across Norfolk & the Waveney Valley. Now rebranded as Norfolk Primary Care (NPC), it is our role, with the support of the practices to identify opportunities and take them forward to affect system change. Whilst maximising the opportunities on offer, there is an important consideration towards building greater resilience in Primary Care so it remains a viable service for the future. NPC provides a unified voice that will ensure practices in Norfolk & Waveney are represented appropriately in our local health system. This will allow NPC to develop as an at scale, not-for-profit primary care provider that is ‘ready for business’ in our changing local economy.
